West Bromwich Albion are expected to sign Filip Krovinovic from Benfica for around £6m, according to The Telegraph.

The news comes a day after the Baggies were promoted to the Premier League following a 2-2 draw with QPR, which was enough to seal an automatic place as Brentford slipped up against Barnsley.

The Croatian midfielder has featured in 44 matches in all competitions for Albion this season, scoring three goals and providing four assists.

Krovinovic cemented his place in the West Brom first team once Slaven Bilic decided on a 4-2-3-1 formation, as the 24-year-old was then often utilised as one of the three attacking midfielders behind the sole striker.

While he has been a great addition to the squad in the Championship, it remains to be seen whether he will be able to do as well in the top-flight, but we all remain optimistic nonetheless.
