Mulumbu’s magic midfield partner, no one could get past Claudio after he signed for Albion in the summer of 2012.

West Brom bought the midfielder from Argentinean side Racing Club after Yacob was capped by his nation Argentina twice in 2011.

Claudio started against Liverpool on the opening day of the 2012/13 season and had a ‘outstanding’ performance in a 3-0 victory.

Yacob was a stalwart in the Baggies’ Premier League midfield until the 2017/18 season, which was his final year at the club. His last appearance for Albion was as a substitute in the famous victory over Man United at Old Trafford under Darren Moore in April 2018.

He only played a single minute in his final appearance before leaving on a free at the end of his contract, joining Championship rivals Nottingham Forest.

West Brom signed the six-foot-five Swedish defender from NEC for a total of £1.16 million. In his first match he played 90 minutes in a 3-2 victory over West Ham United in 2008 at The Hawthorns.

Olsson stayed with the Baggies when they were relegated to the Championship and he maintained a strong relationship with supporters becoming a fan favourite.

The Big Swede’s final appearance for WBA was in a 4-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur, leaving to join Djurgårdens IF after a mutual termination of his contract after nine years with WBA.

Olsson returned to England with Wigan Athletic in 2019, but was released and is now retired from professional football.
