Slaven Bilic is reportedly ‘very satisfied’ with the performances shown by Ivo Grbic so far this season, and Croatian media outlet Slobodna Dalmacija suspect that the interest shown by the Baggies boss could evolve into an official bid from the club for the keeper.
The speculation linking Grbic to the Albion stems from ‘well-informed circles’ in Zvončac, who expect a bid to come in from the Premier League side before the end of the transfer window.
Ivo Grbic is a 24-year-old goalkeeper who joined his current side, Lokomotiva Zagreb, on a free transfer from Hajduk Split in the summer of 2018.
The Croatia U-21 shotstopper has secured 11 clean sheets in 38 appearances for Lokomotiva across all competitions.
Former Croatia manager Slaven Bilic is understood to have been keeping tabs on Grbic for quite some time, and now that the Albion are in need of a keeper to provide Sam Johnstone with first-team competition, the time may be right to make a move for him.
Grbic is valued by Transfermarkt at a meagre £1.8m, but a realistic figure for the 24-year-old is likely to be closer to £3m.
